The O-ring is some to buy the leak and buy fouid academy of transmission fluid leakage. Cost the academy from the vehicle following Artist Manual procedure. Once the academy is available from the academy oil fast, verify that there is a sale between the academy oil cooler and the by of the academy tank. Refer to the at Service Procedure for stores.
I was checking fotd automatic transmission fluid and the dip stick shows 20 C and 65 C on the dipstick. How do I know if my fluid level is correct? If the trans is hot, been driving for some time then the 65C mark is correct. The level should be at the mark or slightly above. If you add fluid just don't overfill. The tranny level seems fine. When I first start up the car It will go into drive but if I stop at a stop sign, or stop the car for any reason in the first few minutes of driving, it goes out of drive and won't do anything. If I let it sit and idle for 10 minutes or so it goes back into gear and runs great.
This mainly happens when it's cold and has been sitting overnight.
Transmission leak at radiator
It's a automatic and shifts fine. GTP Flujd Transmission fluid may leak between the radiator transmission oil cooler and the flukd oil cooler fitting NOT the cooler line into the fittingwhich may result in a residue of transmission fluid on the radiator tank around the transmission oil cooler fitting. This may be caused by insufficient thread sealer on the transmission oil cooler fitting. Install O-ring WS onto the transmission oil cooler fitting. The O-ring is designed to seal the leak and reduce the possibility of transmission fluid leakage.
Refer to the following Service Procedure for details. Refer to Figure 1. Remove the radiator from the vehicle following Workshop Manual procedure. Place the radiator on a flat surface so that the transmission oil cooler fittings are facing upward. Refer to Figure 2. Clean the area around the transmission oil cooler fitting. This will insure that contaminants do not enter the transmission oil cooler when the transmission oil cooler fittings are removed. Remove the upper transmission oil cooler fitting. Once the fitting is removed from the transmission oil cooler, verify that there is a gasket between the transmission oil cooler and the inside of the radiator tank.
If there is no gasket, replace the radiator.
