Why choose us How Macmillan Solutions can help you Do you know someone with cancer who lives in Manchester? If so, we hope that they are getting all the medical care they need. But what about their day to day life? Could they do with a bit of extra support to help them enjoy the things that matter most to them? All Macmillan volunteers have been trained.
They all understand cancer, some from personal experience. We have volunteers who will come and meet with them either at their home or another convenient place. Our volunteers will be happy to sit and have a chat about the sort of help Macmillan Solutions can provide. Since being diagnosed with cancer she struggled to keep up with housework and the clutter was getting her down. We sent two volunteers round one morning a week to help sort through things and decide what to do with them. They lend a hand with other jobs too like the ironing and they always find time to sit quietly with Anne and chat with her about how her treatment is going. He is very upset that he is not able to take his son to football.
